The 20 teams of Rugby World Cup are formed into four pools A-D. Here is complete guide and details on Rugby World Cup 2015 Groups & teams who will be seen playing in England during this fall. The position of each team in the pool is based on the World Rugby Rankings. Out of the 20 teams of RWC 2015, 12 teams are technically qualified for the competition due to their top three places in their pool at the previous Rugby World Cup 2011. The other 8 teams got qualified through winning their regional rugby competitions. The only change in teams at this eighth season of Rugby World Cup is participation of Uruguay instead of Russia.

Each team of RWC 2015 will be naming 31 players before final date of 31st August 2015. Rugby International Board, now known as World Rugby has set a deadline for declaring final squads as 31st August for all the 20 teams contesting at this years RWC tournament. 2015 Rugby World Cup Format

Rugby World Cup follows the uniform format since the time it started. Each group will be playing 10 group stage games i.e making each country play four group stage games following robin round format. 
Teams are given four points for a win, two points for a draw and zero for losing game. Any team which scores for or more tries in a single match get to score a bonus point.
The top two teams from each pool will be heading to the quarter finals of the Rugby World Cup 2015 tournament while the top three teams of each pool will be automatically getting qualified to play at the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

Beside England, other three nations who placed their bids to host the Rugby World Cup 2015 are Italy, Japan and South Africa. England was awarded the bid in July 2009 to host the Rugby World Cup 2015 while Japan will be hosting the next season of the event in year 2019.
